Heather looks proud of her "boys"!

I am pretty sure that Heather’s hospitality helped them perform to the best of their ability. According to the billets, after the race in Ladner, they went back to the King's and Heather put on a lavish Carb banquet for them! She made sure that right after dinner everyone went to bed early for a good night sleep.
I am pretty sure not all hostesses catered their hospitality to the specific needs of their athletes. Heather told me that, the billets were so interesting, they could have stayed up all night talking." Good thing they didn't - the competition was tough and they needed to do their best!
Watch the last 20 seconds of the race. Daniel was just a few inches from coming in first! Click the link below. You can hear the excitement in Heather's husband's voice as Daniel raced to the finish line. Both Kings are avid athletes, just listening to his voice, you can hear how much he wanted Daniel to win!
Daniel Holloway - Tour de Delta Road Race Finish
I briefly had the opportunity to congratulate Neil Corbett for his contribution as race marshal of Tour de Delta. Bravo! Neil told me that if he becomes a councillor, he'll do what Heather does and work on his council duties full-time. I was impressed and thought it was worth a mention, because not all councillors work full-time as a councillor; often they have a "regular" job as well as their councillor's job.
