Speaking of campaign jokes -- (this isn't a joke, it's true)

A couple of days ago, my buddy got a phone call from a woman calling on behalf of DIVA - Delta Independent Voters Association. Immediately, my Buddy put the call on speakerphone; true friends put all campaign calls on speakerphone! 

Buddy asked a bunch of rather hilarious questions. He was toying with her, because he had a hunch that she was "a hired gun".

Soon it was pretty obvious that the poor woman was not from Delta and she was not calling from anywhere near Delta. Like the lovable Sergeant Schultz from Hogan's Heroes, "She knows nothing!"

Buddy asked her the ta-da question, "Where are you calling from?"

Drumroll pleazzzzzzzzzzzzeee

She was calling from TORONTO!!!

She told him that she was working for a marketing firm.

****My bad. I didn't know there was going to be test. He was really funny, I was

     concentrating on not laughing. I didn't memorizing the firm's name.

    

     I think she called it Registered Marketing Group or that her firm was a registered 

     marketing group.

    
     But you get the point: DIVA hired a marketing group in Ontario

   to do their phone canvassing.

Let's be clear here...just so everyone knows....if you donate to Heather KING'S campaign:

• all her campaign money stays in the Lower Mainland,
• all her campaign canvassers (Door-knockers and Phone-chatters) are volunteers (as is this blogger!)
• not one cent will be spent on a Ritzy marketing firm in Ontario or BC, for that matter! NOT ONE CENT.

We are committed Heather King for Mayor volunteers - it isn't about money; we do it all for free, because we are committed to making Delta a better place.

Just one more reason to Vote Heather KING for Mayor

Campaign News: 

• Tomorrow is Remembrance day and in respect for our veterans there will be no campaigning.  
• The campaign office will be open from 1 - 4 PM and you are more than welcome to drop in for a coffee.
•  So far the canvassers and Heather have knocked on 7000 homes!

• UPDATED, SATURDAY, November 12 -- Heather and her team have knocked on over 10,000 doors!

• 4,000 in Tsawwassen,

• 3,500 in Ladner, and

• 3,000 in North Delta!

• They are hoping to have knocked on every home in Tsawwassen by the end of this week. (excluding apartment and condos)
• They are hoping to have to have Ladner canvassed by the Wednesday, November 16th, (excluding apartment and condos) and 
• They will finish off their campaigning in North Delta on Friday, November 18th!
